JPEC holds monthly meetings to review applications submitted seeking ethical approval. Some applications for amendments to already approved clinical trials are reviewed in an expedited review by officers of JPEC. However, this only applies to minor amendments, which do not negatively affect the safety, welfare and rights of subjects as assessed by JPEC.
